Mowing Mowing with FEL on?

/ Mowing with FEL on? #21
I must be the odd man out ,here, but I mow with the FEL on my L3010. I have a Woods 7' 3 pt. rear discharge mower which is fairly heavy. My tires are also loaded. Maybe I should mow FELess at some point to determine the best way to go ?

Odd maybe, but not alone. I leave the FEL on so I can push down tall brush and see what I'm driving over, and occasionally to push a log or rock out of the way. I'll also use the tooth bar to rip up a bush before I mow over it and chop it up. If my fields were flat and grassy, I'd not need it.

JeepGuy don't feel that way I've never taken the FEL off either of our tractors(except to repair them), you just have to be aware of your surroundings and pay very close attention around the buildings.

I agree completely - when using the rotary for big stuff (or unfamiliar field) I keep the FEL on to push brush over and "feel" the ground ahead. But for finish mowing open acreage it's a nicer ride without the FEL.

NOPE! u are not the odd man out. i rarely take my fel off. mow with it all the time, use a rear finish mower and do not find the fel to be a hinderence, just go slow around trees, use the fel to much to be putting it on and off.
