Mr Rogers neighbor, Hood.

Talk about your basic waste of bandwidth, that's this post, but I HAD to share this one.

With spring springing, we're starting to meet all the new neighbors on our road. We moved here just as winter set in late last fall.

Last week I met Paul Rogers who lives 3 doors down. This morning he brought his next door neighbor over to meet the wife and I. His last name? HOOD!

Mr. Rogers neighbor Hood. I almost lost it! (I'm easily amused)

I used to have a neighbor who's last name is Gay. Mr. and Mrs. Gay. The Gay neighbors. Our Gay friends. Is Mr. Gay home? It goes on and on. They are a really nice elderly couple with one of those names. The one I really feel sorry for it their son. He's the baseball coach at the high school. No way do I want to think of what it must be like to be Coach Gay. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Got an Oriental guy at work named Wei. I have the hardest time saying Hi Wei in the morning.

Same with Gene and Jean. Hi Gene. Almost sounds like a suggestion, or worse an insult.

I used to work with a guy whose wife was named Gay Bishop. He showed up for work one day and I told him I saw his wife in the newspaper.

He looked confused until I showed the headline to him--
"Episcopal church elects Gay Bishop. "

Back when I lived in a small town in MA we had a guy from from Scandinavia living amongst us, his name? Holjer Denke. The poor guy, every kid in town made their first prank phone call to him.

I have a new neighbor too. He's name is Ross Coleman, he's professional PBR bull rider, hes #6 in the world championship. He stopped over the other day to introduce himself, he seems like just a regular nice person no bs. or bragging.
I think he will make a great neighbor.

Waaaayy back in grammer school I had a classmate named Justin Case. Poor guy always took a ribbing. The girls phys. ed. teachers name was Wayya Tonne. And she did.
