Bird, you might remember this. Years ago the National Fraternal Order of Police had (I can't remember exactly) a President, or Vice President, etc. of the organization named Richard Les. When I was in the navy there were two pilots that shared a stateroom ( small living quarters ) there was a sign on the door that tells who you's sateroom is who's . There sign read Lt. Small , Lt. Cox. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

There was a girl in our school named Fonda Dicks. I can't beleive her parents could have been so cruel. She probably got married ASAP.

Okay, the one I remember is from Grad school. My best friend and prof at the time was Neil Smalley. His wife's name was Topsy.

There's a portable toilet company in my home town run by a guy called Owen Pugh.

I also worked with a building inspector in the middle east whose parents really didn't do him any favours by naming him James Riddle. Cockney rhyming slang, and well understood in the UK, is the expression: Jimmy Riddle - meaning 'piddle'. No one who met him for the first time could keep a straight face, poor guy.

Once when my wife was going in for surgery and one of the nurses told her that her name was Robin Dick before she married. Said the kids in school called her Stealin Peter. Said she came home from school one day crying and asked her mother why she had to marry a Dick. Mother told her most women did and she would understand when she got older.

We did not believe her and when we went back for a checkup Robin had an old school annual with her name and comments in it.
