cautionary tale: was mowing around my pines and oaks mulching up last years leaf drops for the last time till fall. noticed coolant guage in red!!! shut her down , got the manual troubleshoot and of course loose or broken belt, coolant level. One thing not mentioned and was the culprit was the removable radiator screen/filter. Moral of the story is it will clog during nasty mowing conditions.

I wonder if this unit has a shut down or limp mode like yamaha outboards do when they overheat?

The big front filter was covered? You might want to also check the little air filter cylinder.

I think he was talking about the slide out radiator screen. But it would be a good idea to take a look at the air filters.

I always take a gas powered leaf blower with me just for this reason. I blow the radiator out every hour or so ---- depends on how much trash I scare up while working.

It happens on most of the subcompact because they are so low. My John Deere 1025R and my Massey Ferguson GC1705 both would over heat if the screens were not cleaned regularly. My GC1705 was the worse of the 2. I have only mowed twice with my LS MT125, so I will watch it.

I'm loving the tractor and the 3 blade belly mower mulches leaves nicely. Did an oil change and air cleaner change after that mow. I was at 43 hours anyway. Tractor is running great.
