Mud Season is almost done?

cdaigle430 - I replaced the battery on my M6040 last year. Got an Odyssey group 31. 1150 CCA. A lot of battery but with the Deltron attached - never worry about winter starts. The OEM is still in use around the property. After nine years I get a bit nervous about an old battery.

I like to think I'm proactive.

If the rain doesn't cease (for a few weeks), mud season might go into June...

Yep...end of June we start losing day and before you know it leaves will change etc.etc. but there always next year as they say.

I know I've said this for the past 4 years, but the plane's almost done.... Last area is the firewall forward. No surprise, discovered some stuff that wasn't right in that area, too. Hoping she'll be back in the air this spring/summer.

A 1150 CCA battery won't last long in a tractor. To reach that capacity, the plates are placed very tight together. With all the vibration in a tractor, they will touch each other and short out.
Stay with the capacity the tractor came with.

I live on a paved road (Route 12), but my field is a swamp right now...at least the mowing season (on the field) will be shorter this year!

I walked my lower field this AM and still have running surface water. This week's NE weather will not be conducive to any drying.

It will probably be a nasty Blackfly Season this year.

I just may get my chores done in the next week or so. I got started early but worked around and between the rain and the mud. I just have two trellises to build for the grapes and raspberries then done with the projects this year.

Our antique tractor club in southern KS was going to have a plow day this weekend in field that was too wet to plow last fall. Now we have had 2 more days of rain and have to cancel because its still too wet. Rain date is next weekend according to the weather map that date will likely get rained out as well.
