This guy gets the RED GREEN Award for handy. That is amazing that someone goes to all that trouble to figure out that somebody else has already gone to all that trouble to market and sell a Grass Catcher for a Kubota. He certainly had fun.

I am curious to see if there are unsatisfied customers that have purchased a Mulcher for a BX1860 that also have them for sale. I always had good success with mine. I know it makes a difference if the grass is wet, and long. It still has to be managed correctly. I am not looking for a divert-er, even though it is a great idea, I need something more permanent.
Does anyone have a used mulcher laying around that would fit my deck, so I can just pee on the electric fence myself to see if it's on.

I got one for the 54p, its sitting on a shelf in my barn complete with blades. Due to its shape it wouldnt be an easy thing to ship, particularly internationally.

Id give a good price for local pickup however, Ill never be putting it back on my BX. I might try it when I get my ZD326 54".. It should have a faster tip speed. Not sure if the PN are the same for the mulch kit between the 54p and the 54 on the zd.

Well, Some have to pee on the electric fence themselves. I went ahead and purchased the mulcher because I didn't want to spend all my time working the leaves off the yard. It is not 100% like the GR series mulcher but it works fine. I can also run the mower and put my lawn sweeper on if i have to.
The pic is two times over and back with the mulcher. It does not blow the leaves away so this is a true pic. Also the pics of the mulcher. It was not cut and dry. I had to work at it, drill holes and such.

Well that's interesting.

Your kit is all metal, and looks like it has more baffleing than the one for my finecut deck. Plus the one for my deck is moulded plastic! I didnt think there would be that much of a difference.

It was a real surprise to me also. The one I had for my GR was, like you said a molded plastic piece. The dealer had gotten this back as a return and one piece was missing but I had a shop make me the piece. At first i thought the holes would be there and all I would need to do is line up the holes etc. That was not the case. I went and got a good drill bit and followed the directions myself. You're right, I think it is much different than what anyone else that gave their opinion thought it would be like.
