Mulching Deck for BX2200

How well does the mulching deck work for the BX2200?
Getting ready to place my order and I sure like the idea of a mulching deck. All my dealer says is "it's expemnsive... about $300 and I haven't sold any..." Personally, $300 bucks is a bargain if it 1) works well, 2) saves me from bagging, and 3) helps me justify my new tractor to my wife. Plus I'll beat him up on that pricing. Thanks.

Don't know if one's available for the 60", but I'm pretty sure one is available for the 54". Strange...seems most people like the bigger deck. For me personally, the 60" deck blows the clippings hard enough out the side that I'm not sure I would need the mulch kit anyway. But let me know if you get one...I'd like to see pictures to see if I could fab one...

I was just quoted $256 for the mulch kit (RCK60-21Z) & $13.00 for the blades. Still trying to get more info on what comes with the "mulching Kit." If it is just a discharge cover, I will buy the blades and cover the discharge a cheaper way.

When I originally ordered my BX (w/60'' MMM) I chose to buy the mulching kit. I had to wait for Kubota to ship it and while waiting I cut my grass without it. The MMM worked so well in the high grass (which I rarely let it get) I decided to cancel my mulch kit order and have not regretted it. The kit included (from memory) the discharge cover and well as some baffles that fit under the mower deck. They were to be as beefy (9 gauge) as the deck itself.
