I've been searching for a used Mule or Ranger and they have proved to be hard to come by used. I need a work unit, dont need to go fast or play on the trails. It will need to pull and haul and get up these Kentucky hills.
Anyway, there is a mule 2510 4x4 diesel for sale locally for under 5K and that just happens to be my budget. Since this unit is no longer in production, will it be difficult to get parts for? Any known issues with this unit? Ad doesn't mention what year it is. Does the 4x4 2510 have locking differentials? I doubt it has independant suspension, but I'll find out when I answer the ad.
Biggest concern people usually mention when dealing with Mules is speed. I don't need to go fast on my place, it wont be an issue for me if it's slow. When looking at the Ranger my biggest concern is limiting it's speed. I have two young sons that before long will be itching to drive this thing and unfortunately there are far too many accidents on ATV's in these parts.
If anyone has any knowledge of the 2510 diesel, your input will be appreciated.
