I am going to send it in to have it repaired or replaced not sure how they do it But there is another model of gerber that has a button for assited opening my cousin has one For regular use they hold up not for abuse. one side of my needle nose is broke ive broken the knife off and stripped all but the phillips screwdriver I bought a skelton frame knife also gerber and it fell apart
