Post a pic of the bucket grapple. It is probably twisted from abuse where an operator tried to squeeze something too hard and something bent. By installing a longer cylinder to then close, you wont be able to open as far as it was intended to.

Not to be a Karen (are you wearing your mask as you type?), but we should probably try to use a separate post for each problem to help future people who need to do research. Sometimes it can be aggravating weeding through all kinds of stuff to find your problem, when your machine is broke. Just a suggestion.

When it comes to rebuilding pumps do yourself a favor and just send it in to Power Trac for rebuilding. Or, depending on how expensive it is, buy a new one.

When the time came to rebuild the pump on my pt425 I spent days on the phone identifying the pump and finding a hydraulic shop to work in it. Mine is a Bondioli (italian manufacturer) pump. It quickly became apparent that parts to rebuild were a problem. Time to get parts was measured in months.

I finally called Power Trac. They had all the parts sitting on a shelf in their factory. By the time all was said and done, it was cheaper to have them rebuild it even with shipping. As I recall they had about a two week turn around time.

I have had similar experiences with local shops rebuilding wheel motors, lift/tilt valve blocks, etc. The repairs rarely held up for very long on these items.

I’m planning on buying a new unit fro PT and trying to rebuild mine in my spare time or have a local shop which has a very good reputation do it for me. I have found a place in Ohio that will build my unit to suit my needs or desires but I want to have a good one on my machine before I decide to play around with anything else.it may have more power than I need with the new one and I might not want anything else
