One clarification to my previous circuit post. The bypass switch i speak of will need to be NC.. thus.. when at 'rest' it is closed. When activated, it is open. This is how field coil power is cut/bypassed, to allow injector cutout to operate correctly.

Soundguy, Yeah, I got it the first time and appreciate the simplicity, very elegant solution. The variable pressure thingy was a very minor gilding of the lilly, not really needed.

Hey, I got no problem with bell's and whistles. Some folks like that stuff!

Thinking about it some more, you could use a NO bypass switch as well.. just place it parallel with the NC relay field coil... as oposed to inline.. etc

Soundguy, Maybe I don't understand all this but wouldn't a NO across the relay coil be a problem? When it switched from NO to being a short it would definitely de-energize the relay but it should blow a fuse too, sort of a redundant method of shutting down the fuel flow. Of course you could carry spare fuses.

That's what i get for trying to design one circuit off paper, then refer to another 'on-paper' one.

I've got a circuit scribbled in my electronic doodle book, and in that one the relay is powered in series with the idiot lamp, thus the shorting of the relay field coil didn't do much.

Wish it was easier to draw a schematic and post it to illustrate these things. would be way eaiser than thinking about it.. especially when making mods on the fly.
