Remember the 'Thoughts on a strange idea' post?
Well its back, this time with a doner tractor to do it.
Ive attached a technical drawing. To the untrained eye it may just look like a load of images put together on paint but to my trained eye it is a detailed plan with inner workings and mechanisms all drawn out /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Actually, I think thats just spots in my eyes and it really is just a load of images put together on paint /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So here is mark 2 of the design, base tractor is a Wheelhorse 112-5, the deck is off my 212-5. The 112-5 has a 30'' deck, not to be used and the 212-5 deck is 36''. Confused yet /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif?

So what do you guys think, I forgot to add the cupholder and rear bumper, but other than that?

That looks like HighRidge's PT -- or is it yours, Pooh-Bear?

Ben, is that so I can post how far I can get it to go over before it rolls. It could be a new compettition in the safety forum,
'I got mine up to 20 degrees and but only sustained minor bruising'
'Tough break man, the record is at 21 degrees and life threatening internal trauma, close'
'Thats nothing, I got to 22 degrees and had severe internal bleeding and 10 broken ribs, I nearly died, so there!'
'Phew, what a legend, one day ill be as skilled a him, youre my hero, you truly are!'
Do you think itll be popular? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Cant think of any other uses for tilt-meters /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

David, do you think this is how PT started out, the head designer got a load of pics of features they wanted, put them on paint and fitted them all together, tongue stuck out in concentration ( /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
'Ya, well have a fan here, ooo, lift arms here, 3 wheels, no wait, 4, yea 4, thatll do. Hang on a minute, we forgot the engine, stick it on there, bit of red stuff there, bit of green here, a few spangles here, and a seat, thatll be useful. Stop, stop, thats perfect, proper job, we shall call it the Super Strength all Hydraulically Driven Front-lift-arm Tractor-like Machine, or Power-trac for short. Awww yeaaaa, thats the baby /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif'
Uh, either that or they worked it all out using fancy clompfusers and pencils and crayons and stuff. Naa, doubt it.....

Bob, never underestimate the power of a tiltmeter for personal use. With some easy calculations you can work out and which angle your rear becomes veiwable above your trousers when you bend over. By having a tiltmeter attached to your nose you can be warned when you get close to that point so you can avoid flashing at the delicate ladies across the room, genius, I shall go patent it right now /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif In the time being, dont be a copy-cat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Im guessin the ( another lawn tractor site ) was garden-web, am I right, what I win? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS, the doner tractor is grinder shy /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, im gunna have to introduce it slowly to the whirling disk /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif, therfore it might take some time before I start /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well I got her running, battery was as flat as a flat thing. It wouldnt start until I figured that I had to be sitting on the seat and it fired right up after that. DUH! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Ive only worked on these tractors and done that a few dozen times /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
This thing is unstoppable, really, the clutch dont work /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Got a nice gouge out the shed wall to prove that one. I rolled it into first and away she went, CRIPES! (not my actual wording), I hadnt even let the clutch out. Ah well a few battle scars never hurt anything (except me! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif), need to figure that out one day, maybe tomorrow, naaaa, next spring maybe, wouldnt want to rush it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How bout this new idea then (pic) walk behind, nice trailer nose wheels at the front, beefy tyres on the back, handle bars, shes a beast /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Sure would be easier to do than the other idea /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Them PTs are really cool machines, and almost in my price-range too! Pity they dont have then here, maybe ill make on one day out of paper mache just to play in /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
