I bought a 3325 a month ago and have had the same problem! Have change pin types, still xperimenting to find best type. I'm clearing heavy brush and saplings.

A little trick I learned about lynch pins several years ago to keep them in place when working in heavy brush is to drill a hole near the end of the pin, then use a piece of wire to secure it to the bell of the pin.
