The original ratio is 1.69: 1 to get original blade tip specs, but you could tune it up or down depending on your application.
I'm sad to say I can't recall the distributors name. They were in Ohio and had a lot of red on the web page... any dealer with access to comer gearboxes should be able to get the 227. I believe Tiger--canadian company uses the 227 in their 12 or 15 foot unit. That may be another avenue to search.
