MX-5 first time

Here is a pic of the trail Ive started using the JD 4410 and the MX-5. I had no trouble pushing down with the FEL the poplars, maples and oak saplings up to 3 inch dia.
After this weekend of use I ordered a full face mask, hard hat, hearing protection from Gemplers. Had too many close calls from branches and rocks. Even with chains on the front and back a lot of stuff flys out of the MX-5

You will be suprised what you can push down the higher up the tree you can go with the loader the more leverage,after it falls get the loader behind the roots and push it out of your way.

I agree...too bad thats not true of the photos they use for fast food ad's /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

that's a pretty mean looking hog you got there.Looks a little more rugged than my Woods BB60.With just 4 hours on mine and being new I tried to take it easy with it.At least I thought I was,my blades being a little on the thin side in my opinion are looking pretty sick.My deck has a bad case of the bumps and on one of the support beams underneath I got a hole threw it that looks like it's been shot with a 12 gauge.They just don't make steel like they used to. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
