Has anyone bought a MX 5400 or 6000 with a cab and loader. Just wondering what others are paying for them. I’m looking to replace my L3940HSTC with the same set up. I know the L grand series has a few more features in the cab and transmission but in all the years I’ve owned it haven’t really used the auto throttle the hi-lo or the stall guard all that much and with the extra horsepower of the MX probably wouldn’t need it for what I use it for

I have a MX6000 cab model with a FEL that I bought in May. I paid $38,800 OTD for mine. I have 88 hrs. on it and so far love it.

Where at in East Texas did you buy your tractor?

I just traded in my L3940 HSTC with around 800 hrs on it for a brand new MX5400 with cab. Like You I rarely used the auto throttle but did use the hi-lo feature quite a bit. I got $20k for the L3940 and paid right at $40k for the MX5400. That included loader, fluid in the tires, 3 sets of remotes, arm rests, and radio. Definitely miss some of the creature comforts of L3940 cab. The levers for the remotes are dang near under the seat in the MX5400. Hardly any storage in the cab either.

tradosaurus, I bought it at Normangee Tractor. They beat every Kubota dealer within 100 miles of here.

Nice. Although I would consider that location to be central or south Texas.

Thanks for the info I have almost 1400 hours on my L3940 not sure what I’d get on a trade in I’ll probably try and sell it out right. I know most of the dealers around me have very low stock on everything compared to what they normally have sitting in their lots so I’ll probably wait a bit before I buy I’m sure they will not want to knock a lot off the price right now. There is nothing wrong with my 3940 so I can run it a bit longer

Have you looked at the discounts and financing offers on the Kubota website? Some have had success with the 20% off MSRP Equine discount. It applies to attachments and implements as well. I would get my best local quotes and then compare the $. May tick a salesman off though. :)
