MX series R4 tire width & filled rears

/ MX series R4 tire width & filled rears #21
Outside tread width on my MX is 74". There may be a wider setting, but the compromise in bucket width would not likely be offset by additional stability. My mfg. Is titan which now manufacturers good year AG tires. I question if tires designed to be the same size are actually built to varying dimentions . Rather than speculate, perhaps a member with knowledge in this matter, can weigh in w/ facts. Rolling circumference must be maintained or differential gearing will be damaged. So why have variances in width?

EDIT: fortunate to have a forklift with tall carriage, tilt, sideshift, . Simplifies installation of AG tires, loaded or not. Large bale grabber might also work?

I'm confused about the numbers you posted. The operators manual for the current MX is easily found on the web, posted by Kubota. The tread widths for the R4 tires are 51.6 - 55.9 - 57.1 - 61.2 and Titan says the tire width is 17.3 so it seems that the overall width would be 68.9 - 73.2 - 74.4 - 78.5 with some variation due to inflation pressure and load plus manufacturer tolerances.

The reason that I'm reading and responding is because a friend was looking to buy an MX and ran across a thread that claimed they were 73" wide with r4s, so I offered to check the specs for him (his concern was his existing 6' box blade)

See my post above: Our MX5800 with R4s measures a little over 78" overall on the outside. Tires are loaded, using recommended psi.

I was referring to the numbers posted by oosic. -"From my OP manual - - 55.9" - 59.8" - 63.8" - 67.7". These measurements are center of tire to center of tire. Mine is set at 67.7" resulting in 80" outside of tire to outside of tire"- Your numbers make perfect sense.

First of all I am not an Expert
Second thing I have an MX5800 with the R4 tires and they are not filled with any thing but air at the present time.

I asked the dealer if there were any wider setting for my tires and they told me no they were already set as wide as they would go with out some kind of added extra spacers that they do not sale.

My back tires stand at 73" wide out side to out side.

I purchased an 72" box Blade from Everything Attachments that actually measures 72 3/16" out side to out side.

This leaves me with a bit lest than 1/2" wider tires than the box blade
Not a big deal for me but I can see in some circumstances where I would probably like to have the box wider than the tires.

Again I am not an expert but this is how my MX5800 is set up from the dealer.

I understand the Chart but it does not give you the out to out measurement.

The dealer installed my valve stems inside

You can get the outside to outside measurement by adding the width of one tire to the tread width (1/2 of the tire protrudes from that center line on each side). Your tires should be 17.5L-24 R4 Titan Ind Cont TL and Titan gives the width as 17.1 - 17.3 depending on the number of plies
