in a previous thread it indicated that the 4700 did not have extendable links like the 5100 did yet the pecification on Kubota indicate both have Cat 1 and 11 linkages. Is there a difference in my understanding in this regards?

I can't find it, but there is a thread on the differences and the extendable lower links are one of the differences. On the 5100 they are standard, but optional on the 4700 and one poster gave the cost at about $600 IIRC.

Of course you mentioned the turbo; sorry I don't know more, but there are several MX owners here that I am sure can help. There is even one who is waiting on an MX4700.

the MX4700 only gets one fender handle, go figure that one out!!!.
very dumb call on Kubota's part for this...

Just got my MX4700HSD LA844,BH92 over the weekend, wow what a beast!!!, but got to get use to the parking brake, found myself driving it around with parking brake on-you can't tell if its applyed or not just by looking at the peddles and set lever..had to raise seat with a stack of washers to, frt of seat leans forward to much. also moved the FWD lever ingaugement sticker up on the panel so you don't have to look way down just to find out what drive it's in.
jumpered the clutch engaugement switch so it can be started without clutch disengauged too.
I don't like having to apply clutch just to start everytime..
one other thing weird is the sound of this engine sounds like a coffee perculator at about 1800 to 2000 RPM..

funny you say that about the parking brake since there is no way you can tell its on unless your using your crusie controll since it wont work. I did the same thing with mine when i got it. It should have a dash light.
