MX5000

I am on the verge of buying a MX5000 but see nothing here about this model. Are they that new? Anyone have any experience, news, ideas, guesses about this model. It looks to be just the size I need at a reasonable price.

The MX5000 is a new offering from Kubota we received our first units about a week ago. They are a cross between an L series and the larger M series.

I bought a new M4900 about 6 weeks ago and the first of the MX5000s got in about two weeks later. Had they been on the lot when I bought I would have looked hard at them. They are a good in-between size tractor and look to be a good value for the $$. I have no regrets though - I love the M4900.

Small world, Botaman. The MX5000 is for our small farm outside of Bowling Green (South-Central KY). Who do you sell Kubotas with? I have been talking with HR Agripower which is in your neck of the woods. Maybe we should talk.

I'm sure John Miller III will have better ones than this, but here's a pic of the MX5000 from the Watkins website. Anybody know the weight or hp? Looks stout !

I don't know if I've been sleeping or what, but I've missed the price tag for the MX5000./w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. What would the base price be?

List prices for Kubota MX5000 tractors are found on page 10 (2WD) and page 11 (4WD) on <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.dot.state.mn.us/equipment/contracts/tr_cpt_utl/42e.pdf>State of Minnesota Contract List Prices for Kubota MX5000</A>. I'm afraid this file is 3MB, so it will be a long download for our bandwidth challenged members. I couldn't separate out the pages for the MX5000 from the other model's pages. Perhaps somebody with more computer skills than I could do so. The base list price for the MX5000 2WD is $17,400, while the MX5000 4WD is $21,400. These are December 2001 list prices, and if you were to buy as much as the State of Minnesota you would get a 25% discount off-list for the tractor, and 20% off-list for options and implements. If you're buying less, the discount will be less.
