Mx5100 let me down!

I have methenol and water in my rear tires. I wanted Rim guard but it's a little harder to find in NC. The only time I felt a rear tire come off the ground is when I left my box blade back at the house and I was picking up some #1 rock (about football size). More rock was to one side of the bucket. As I lifted it up the tractor teetered a bit. It just let me know to respect it. I kept the load low to transport. I now keep the box blade on the back doing loader work. I haven't had any problems with my MX5100 in this configuration.

Over the weekend I took the loader off the mx5100 and all the sudden it hit me I had my 8ft blade still on and I was surprised it didn't feel light. But I also didn't go do any work, I was more just playing around and took the loader of for the first time and it went back on.

No horse in this race yet (not trying to start any brand wars here), but this thread reminded me of this [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz9bGdaRbnk&feature=player_embedded"]video[/ame].

that mahindra did do it but at the end you can see the wheels slipping and lifting a little

The Mahindra did do it, and I do think a couple (Deere specifically, and my bias aside) could have done it if the operator had rolled the weight back first like on the Mahindra instead of lifting it, Mahindra was also closer to the ground. Without ballast, though, the MX5100 would not be able to handle it. As stated in the video, the Mahindra has 40% more built in weight. All the brands would be able to handle the load, if they were to ballast properly. And who's to say some of the tires (Mahindra) are ballasted? Not to be the suspicious type, but we can't go off of what we see alone.

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

"built in weight"

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

ALL of those tractors would have needed ballast to properly and SAFELY move that load.:thumbsup:

You will notice also he has it in 4 wd. A slight cheat.:)

Yes it does appear that it is in 4wd. I have that same machine with loaded tires, and it would be hard pressed to lift/move that pallet in 2wd and nothing on the 3ph. Just saying.

I don't pay any attention to videos like that, everybody does them.

You could have lifted the rear end of that Mahindra with a finger. That tractor did not have 10 lbs of down pressure on those rear tires.. Trying to lift the 2400 lbs without rear ballast on any of the tractors was just stupid, like the video.
