Thanks for the responses guys. After reading your posts this morning, I called my local dealer and had him deliver the MX6. Wow, this is an awesome cutter. I couldn't be happier. All of my concerns were over after a couple swipes through some pretty thick brush. The tractor handles it very well in my opinion. The price did include both front and back chains. ($1975.00 + Tax) Thanks again for your input. I had almost decided to change to the LX after listening to a couple salesmen, but now I'm very glad I stuck with the MX.

Peddler,

Are you able to handle it without the loader on? In any case, that is a great deal on the MX. Congrats and enjoy.

I am able to handle it just fine without the loader. Actually at this point I don't even have front weights either. I do intend on getting some if I don't get the loader sometime soon. It does make the front end light of course, but it handles it surprisingly well.

Are your front tires filled? It doesn't take much, and can make a surprising difference. You can get a fill adapter for $6 and use windshield washer fluid. The only problem with front suitcase weights is that they have to come off to use the loader. Of course, a lot of folks like having the loader on when they brush hog. Use it as a feeler to find rocks and a handy place to store them. I can't begin to use my MX without the loader on - the 4310 would just do wheelies, so I can find lotsa excuses to have one... :)

I don't have the front tires filled. Where can I find the fill adapter you are referring to? I'm hoping to get the FEL in a few months or so, but I'm certainly interested in filling the front tires until I decide on purchasing one.

Drop by sometime and I will loan you mine!

or:

Tractor Supply, NAPA, try AgriSupply, or Northern. A good feed store.

It screws on the valve stem (core removed) and has a garden hose fitting, plus a air bleed button. You can hook it straight to a garden hose or a little pump. You have to bleed air from time to time.

A buddy of mine breaks the bead and just pours the fluid in.

Try Gempler's:

Cool deal on the mX6. I just put some hours on mine - it sure is a tough mower. I still dent it here and there, but it should last a lifetime. That price is smokin'. Did it come with the clutch also? My dealer is quoting liek $2200 on them here.
