This one is made in Canada but I can't find any reference on the gear box. I assume this one that has a gear box from Spain. Is that correct?

May want to dump it while it still works well and get the MX 8. Any thoughts?

A buddy uses his mx8 on his 4720 with the bucket and says it does ok. I guess I could always add some front weights or put something in the bucket.

I would go for it if you can get a good price. If it works for your friend, it should work for you.
Look at the stump jumper on your MX6. If it's held on by a castle nut, it's one of the good ones.

The double gearbox cutters have much SLOWER blade speed than MX6 or MX7.

If your cutter or mower dont have 17+k blade tip speed, you don't get a smooth finish.
