Today I visited K, JD, NH, and Kioti in that order, looking
at 29/30 hp compacts. K and NH tried to sell me used units
for more $$, w/less features. JD offered a basic "workhorse".
Seemed years outdated. Kioti seemed to have advantages
in pump flow, ground clearance, live PTO, telescoping 3-pt
forward deck guards, just to name a few obvious, and "oh yea"price. Many features and upgrades were only available on larger models of K, JD, and NH. Buy the way, the CK30HST that I looked at had a ROPS that folded in the middle. To me, Kioti is really making a push in the compact area. Haven't looked at Century/Branson yet. But Kioti is looking good for my hard earned buck. Still want to make the best choice.

I didn't know Kioti had CK30s with ROPS that fold in the middle. I thought they all folded at the base. I know the LB1914 and DK series has ROPS that fold in the middle.

JayC I'm sure it's something that Mariline just made a mistake on. When looking at different tractors, sometimes one maybe left with the impression that all Rops fold in the middle..cag

I wouldn't jump to quick on the fold in the middle statement....
When we attended the Kioti school that was a big issue and they said that they were working on the change.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There was a CK30 gear with a ROPS folding at the base, right
next to it was a CK30HST with the ROPS folding in the middle.
That tractor looked like it had just being brought in. It gave me the impression that Kioti was very responsive to what the consumer was needing. I was IMPRESSED.

Cag, I did not test drive one yet. Yesterday it was coming
down in torrents, all day. I was standing in the rain, "becoming
educated", while the saleman stayed inside. Was raining hard.

Mariline let us know what you think when you test drive the CK30. I always enjoy reading and receiving knowledge on this particular brand Kioti. Don't hesitate to ask questions. I know I don't.. Beside I found Kioti forum to be kind of slow lately... Hey Walace cool to hear about the folding Rops... cag

When the CK20's first came out, all the literature and the prototypes had ROPS that folded in the middle, but the actual production models folded at the base. So there's a chance you could have seen a production model next to a prototype.

There's my 2 cents... so that makes at least 4! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
