I would only add that you can use the Harley owner's trick of using a clean/dedicated, high-velocity leaf blower as a sort of Beast blow dryer after the pressure wash. It is also great as a "pre-wash" loose sand/dirt remover to avoid making mud puddles on your fine machine.

My other trick is that I bought an insanely expensive can of paint from the local paint specialty company matched 100.000% exactly to the color and texture of the gray underbelly of the Red Beast.

My only cosmetic/clean-up regret? I'm having a horrible time dealing with all the ink black grease smears and droppings caused by my choice of a particularly nasty lithium multi-purpose grease I bought from TSC. It is the messiest grease on the face of this earth. I have GOT to find something that cleans up a little easier.

What can I say??? Bill6 is my hero!!! :)

Although if he saw my machine tonight, he would be highly disappointed. I pressure washed it this morning before it left for a 10 day +/- assignment... and by tonight it was so covered in dirt that you couldn't see red or read the name on the side... I kid you not.

Ed, I just had to laugh... after wasting time this morning with a quick pressure wash so it would be presentable to the client.

That's what I get for taking more than a one-day assignment.

Aw heck, you can't show up for work on the first day with a filthy machine. It is sort of and advertisment for your company, and it does say alot about you. If it was me it would be spotless when I showed up on the first day.

Good to hear from you again Bill... and glad to hear that you are continuing to set the standard on keeping a truly "clean machine"!!! Please don't get discouraged or bail out on your principles! Do like TexasJohn and MtnViewRanch are saying and get yourself a pressure washer! While not as good as a full towel or chamois drying, it can be quite acceptable with a little after-the-fact touch-up. I also use WD-40 extensively in lieu of wax or Armor-all. Not sure if this could be harmful if left in the sun too long, but it sure works great and fast on my normally garaged machine.

My other trick is that I bought an insanely expensive can of paint from the local paint specialty company matched 100.000% exactly to the color and texture of the gray underbelly of the Red Beast. I use it frequently to touch-up wear points and control minor rust stains. It is the icing on the cake of keeping your machine looking like brand new!

I used the same black grease from TSC. I grease till I see grease coming out of the assembly. My service manager told me I didn't have to grease so much. I think it kinda looks neat after the high pressure water splatters it. But I digress..;) .......I now use Mystik JT-6 from TSC. It is almost clear:cool: and is NLGI No.2 rated.
hugs, Brandi

Sounds much better. All I can say is that this awful black stuff seemed like a good idea at the time... but OH what a mess.

Hi MajMac; you are right...... I was cleaning my 2006 Ranger pickup in the garage, so I had to park the Mahindra outside for a few hours. Well, the wind came up and the poor tractor got some dust on it! So last night I spent nearly 2 hours rinsing and re-waxing the whole machine. The wife got angry, and said "you're always playing with that **** tractor, why don't you just move out to the garage with it?

I had the 2006 Ranger up on jackstands, all 4 wheels off. I cleaned & waxed the backside of the wheels. Then I wiped down the entire underside of the truck, and wheelwells. Then I cleaned the engine compartment. The truck looks like a million dollars. (I never drive it in the rain) I average 41.22 MPG with it, it's a 2.3L 4 banger, 5-speed manual, regular cab, long bed. 20.3 gallon fuel tank gives me an 800 mile range.

This weekend I have about 10 hrs of work to do with the Mahindra 3215. I need to move gravel, and then bush-hog the neighbors field of long grass and weeds. You can guess what I will be doing in the garage late into Sunday night.......
