...it will crank but it won't turn over. Since it always has started on the first crank, I'm not sure what's going on, but over the last couple of days, I can't get it to start.
I'm looking for suggestions on what to try.

Check for fuel in the fuel filter bowl. If none is present check fuel pump pressure of the electric pump (sometimes called the lift pump). I am not sure the exact spec. but I think it is 2-4 psi from the electric pump mounted on the firewall. You can check the pressure with a old style fuel pump pressure gauge like we used in the old carburetor/mechancial type fuel pumps. Most automotive vacuum test gauges have the ability to test low pressure fuel pumps. The electric pumps operate on a plunger action with a check valve. If no fuel pressure, you can take the electric pump apart by removing the three small screws holding the pump together (kind of a pain). Inside there is a o-ring, plastic plunger, spring and check valve. I had a piece of plastic from my tank lodge in the plunger and it would not pickup fuel from the tank. Do not remove the two screws on the black connector on top of the pump there is nothing serviceable in that area. Clean any debris and reassemble.

I hope this helps!

When you turn the key on, do you have a loud click (fuel cut off (IP) turning on) and fuel pump should be heard pumping AND GLOW PLUGS CYCLING. On mine the slightest debris stops this pump. I installed a pre filter and an aftermarket pump (kept old for emergency spare) If you hear your pump, and click on IP fuel cut off solenoid energizing you can crack the bleeder at pump to see if you have fuel. No fuel- fuel filter assembly/ empty tank/etc. Fuel at bleeder/injectors may indicate no glow plug action. Most IP governors will increase fuel at crank speed to help starting. Give us more information. Hope this helps.

Thanks JGreen and fjb2c for your posts. I forgot that I made this post, but am still having problems and will try your suggestions. Thanks a lot.

BTW, fjb2c, I think we have the same employer. I have one of those names too. At work I go by aws8f. Small world.
