Tractor
kubota B7800, Kubota T1570
My sons were given a little, beat up Craftsman lawn tractor last year, and, well, as of last week, it kind of kicked the bucket. My younger son was heartbroken because he used the little beater to mow the guys grass on the property next to mine ( 50 bucks a pop), and he also used it to do some cutting around the house. I told him we'd go see my buddy who owns the local Kubota dealer, and with a roll of the eyes from the old ball & chain, we were off.
I don't know how or why, but she not only agreed to us getting a T1570, but encouraged it. It was delivered yesterday, and what a nice little mower. My sons didn't know I ordered it, so they were pleasantly surprised when the truck pulled down the driveway with the little orange tractor on it.
I must be doing something right. ( She's not really a ball & chain, I use that jokingly.)

Nice!

If your boy is ale to get $50. a go for mowing, and now do it faster, that new Kubota should be earning it's keep in no time. After he finishes the payments it'll be all gravy from then on :)

Not yet, my sons are gonna give it a whirl today while dad snoozes off a 12 hour midnight shift in the powerhouse. I have one more night turn and then 8 glorious days off to play with my orange toys.
Life is grand.

Congratulations on the new arrival! :)

Something similar happened at my place a couple years ago.

The yellow runt was the first born... the BX2200 came along to keep the B2910 company...:D

A winning combination for sure...at least in my book. But we always think our babies are the cutiest, right? (Just became a grandpa for the first time recently... )

(Don't get here much anymore...hope my attempt at adding a photo worked!)

Well, we used the little T1570 the other day, and it works perfect. My youngest cut the neighbors grass and loved it, I used it around the obstacle course my wife insists on having around the house, (trees, planters, swingset, you know the routine), and while I was cutting out back with the B7800, she swung around on the little guy grinning like a coon with a crawdad, wanting to help me cut. I turned her loose and what a nice job it does. She looks pretty good on it too. ( I think her tractor's sexy). To make a long story short, it was money well spent. Great for cutting, but I think not too much more than that.

I had a T1770 for three years. Great little tractor! We had a 44" mmm and a 40" snowblower. (Had the hubcaps, too!:D ) Then they had a Kawasaki V-twin and the HST was a Hydro-gear. (The small Kubotas, like JD CUTs, are outsourced) Brought a tear to my eye when we traded her in with about 7.75% depreciation.
