My beloved bolens is poorly and stuck in a field

Made per blank plug and still only runs with choke fully on

Does it have a vent hole on the gas cap if so take a straight pin and clean that hole out,I had this happen to me.

May have a piece of trash in the carb, there is not much to them and can be taken off and cleaned. I would get a new gasket kit and do this as it sounds from what you said to be (carb) related. You have a fine tractor and it just sometimes needs a little love. Fresh Plugs/air cleaner/fuel filter and it will be ready for another 30 years. I don't think that before my repower the oil had been changed ---- ever, and still it ran.

Thank you, tried the vent hole, no joy, will check fuel pump is put back right, and fuel filter is clear, then go for a carb strip down, yes it's a great little tractor, that even cuts grass!

I had a G14 bolens... once...kept on beaking expensive stuff..local dealer was a bandit. Bye Bye Bolens. ... forever.
