Well I have been waiting for the rear remotes for the backhoe, so with the month or so I have been waiting I really looked hard at the 335 and 440. The money difference between the two was my only hold back originally so I saved up enough to step up. The Hydro flow, loader lift and ability to add front aux lines were some of the features I did like, along with the added HP. The 335 is a tweeny machine in my opinion nice but the 440 just made more sense, plus I always usually try to buy more than I need:D

Im not sure yet about the forks yet but my tractor does have the Bob-Tach front loader. First I need to get my hoe and then see if I have any money left for other attachments, I would like forks and a toothbar also.

I really like the tiller, I dont know how I did without all these years.

Power wise well it has 3 speeds and when in highit has no guts at all I assume its just for travel only, around my property high is useless heck if you throttle up and stab the pedal it will about stall cant even get out of its own way. I have not had a chance to use it much yet, to compare to my last rig. I do have to say the loader is much more powerful. I really dont want to run the tractor to hard yet, trying to get hrs on it first by just riding around doing small task and shutting her down letting it cool and running some more. Once I get it broke in ill have a better idea what it will do.
Oh, I see, you have the BH on and 3rd gear is about useless. That's normal on my ck30. When I take the BH off, the tractor is MUCH more nimble and I can actually use 3rd gear..

As for pallet forks, I'm building some as we speak. We'll find out how usefull they are..

No, im sorry I have not yet gotten the backhoe, the rear remotes are still on back order, so I had them just deliver the tractor itself.

My bad, I got this thread mixed up with another thread.. In that case, do a few searches as there has been other times when a machine was slow in third. In one case, the breaks were stuck "on".

My brakes arent stuck on I did check that, its just under powered I hate to say it. Maybe it will get better as time goes on, I hope. It even stalled while I was using the loader digging in a dirt pile:eek: I had it in low, about 2600rpm and was digging and raising up the bucket and tried to back up and it stalled. It seems like the hydrolics really puts a load on this tractor. Again I only have 6 hrs on the unit so I will experiment over time what it likes and dont like. This is only my third tractor over the years 2nd hydro so I hope it gets better.

I hope you get more replies, as I'm interested in why this may be. OTOH, I'm reminded that mine used to do that sort of thing if I'd hit a pile going to fast etc... It doesn't happen anymore. Though I'm unsure whether my driving has improved or it just got broken in..
I realize yours seems to be a bit differant as you were actually backing out with a load.

Were your other tractors bigger or smaller? My ck30 is just about the perfect size usually. 5' wide fits just right in alot of places. However, I'd REALLY REALLY like the lift of yours or the dk40-45

I tried digging some more dirt out of a pile I had put there with my old 955 deere. It stalled 3 more times, this thing really is beginning to tick me off. This thing is a real pig!!!

Some of the things I dont like so far is the loader rattles like heck, there are leg stands on the rear of the loader that rattle constantly so I need to see if they come off.

The stupid tilt steering wheel doesnt stay locked in place quite annoying:mad:

The lack of power is also an issue that has not gotten better maybe even a lil worse.

Unfortunately a trip back to the dealer is soon in my future.

I feel for you, my 225 has plenty of power maybe too much in the bucket i was picking up a trailer that had fallen off its stand i was doing a nice balance on the front end, didnt have the balast box on it, while i pushed the trailer back. I hope the dealer finds something. I couldnt be happier with mine, glad I replaced my old kubota.

Anybody have any problems with their tilt steering wheel? Mine ratchets all over the place, like it doesnt stay put. If you put a little pressure on it, it will move. I havnt had time to look in the column to see if something can be adjusted. I hate to go back to the dealer with a whole list of things wrong, lol. Just a few bugs I need to get worked out. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

The tilt steering is probably just a knob or nut that needs to be tightened. I bought a 335 and have been very impressed with the power. Something just doesnt seem right with yours, but I ran mine for 20 hrs or so and brought it back for the few little "bugs" to be worked out. You bought new and have a warranty. Trust me the warranty and service on warranty is billed into the price you paid....take use of it. I am still waiting on my remotes though and am starting to get a little ticked off.
