I tell you, something is not right here. And it has nothing to do with the bridge. The bridge is perfect and beautiful. I just don't understand how Kenny can be both a Spartans and Wolverines fan. I didn't think that was possible. ;-)

I think we've pretty well wrapped this one up. I finished the railings and started the backfilling. It will take a while to compact the backfill and then I will probably stain it next spring after the treated wood dries out (not much more warm weather left here). I've added a downstream picture (I know I've got to patch that crack in the spillway) and a photo to show where this bridge is actually located, which may explain why we went a little overboard on the appearance. I passed the stress test (tractor with full bucket and box blade and, more important, has been signed off by the Boss.

very nice, good job.i have the same protect going on now, i use a 40ft Mobil home frame as my base and have it framed up for it to be a covered bridge.

We'll be looking for pictures of that. I don't remember anyone actually doing a covered bridge here.
