That bucket looks fantastic! Well done...

Anyone have an idea on how to strengthen the cutting blade up without adding a tooth bar. A friend has asked me to weld up some stiffener to his bucket that had cracks in the back. His front lip is bowed up from back dragging. He does a lot of prep work for foundations (contractor) with the NH TC40 and 10 years of backdragging has a pretty big bow in the middle. Without cutting out the old blade and welding in a new one, anyone got some way to keep a smooth edge on it and make it stouter.

Shouldn't be to difficult to straighten the front edge, then weld a plate on the bottom or the top of the existing cutting edge, not sure which would be better, but that should stiffen it up considerably.

Great job. How are you planning on using the receiver mount? I'm puzzled by how you would use it to move trailers with the height it is at. Not criticizing, just trying to figure it out. Thanks.

They make numinous sizes of drop and raise 2" receiver hitches to fit whatever your needs may be...

Of course. I should have thought of that.

I haven't had a use for it yet, but the mount was cheap and it is bolt on. Just figured someday it might come in handy, if not no big expense to it.

Those mods look great and make the bucket a lot stronger.

I use mine almost every day, you'll find uses for it.

You did all the things I needed to do to mine. I have the after pics if you use the bucket hard without the additions. The top is bent up and side edges folded over. My brother was giving me a hard time about the bucket and I told him I bought it to use and it has done the required job well!
