My BX-22 has a flat tire

Mike, I was repairing flats when the first tubeless tires came out on new cars. In fact, we had quite a few new cars come in to put tubes in the tires because the buyers didn't trust tubeless tires. And when we did repair a tubeless tire, we took it off and patched the inside, so I was still doing some of that kind of work when the first "plugs" came on the market. And the early ones were not very good. So . . ., until about 10 years ago, I never allowed any plugs in my tires, only had them patched on the inside. However, tire "experts" (including a brother who was a tire dealer) started trying to convince me that the modern plugs were better than a patch about 14 years ago. So the last few years, I've used several plugs and haven't had one fail yet. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bird,
Thanks for the tip. I have to admit that part of my bias against plugs came from my father who also had problems with plugs years ago when they first came out. But since you have some experience in seeing them change, maybe next time I'll try a plug. Although now that I filled the tires with slime it may never be an issue! :)
Thanks...

I just picked up a gallon of green slime at TSC, and it was $20 like you said. I'll be filling the back tires with slime now. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
