Kubota BX1500
Hi Folks,

I found your forum a month or so back, but now hope to join your fun as my BX1500 arrived yesterday afternoon. After a few minutes of playing I feel very good in picking the Kubota as it appears to be an amazing little machine.

My first project is to get my new lawn planted before those wonderful snow flakes start falling or the neighbors / city starts complaining about my wonderful desert scenery! The front end loader appears to be just the thing I need to get the dirt and all those wonderful rocks moved around. I was amazed at the amount of dirt and rock one can move in just a couple hours time. This definitely beats the old wheelbarrow and shovel way of doing things as in the past!

Thanks to all those that have posted prior messages as they were a great help in my selection process. Hopefully I can contribute something in the future.

Thanks,
Robert

Since you've been "lurking" for a month or so, you should have picked up on that membership requirement. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looking forward to seeing the pics of your tractor and your projects. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks guys!

Yes, I will get some photos once I can find that camera which at the moment is playing hide and seek. It's in a special box so where I would remember just where it was, but...... :-( Man, first the eyes then the brain!

I just love the Kubota thus far. This weekend it was a great help in building an unplanned retaining wall. Just to bad my dealer does not have a cement block laying attachment! :)

I bought a Kubota because of a friend that has an older model 15 hp Kubota. When we lived in PA, he made money with it all year from snowblowing, tilling, landscaping, mowing, discing. You name it that machine could do it. He is envious of me now because about the only implement he doesn't have is a BH, which I have with my BX22. He lives in NC now, I am in TN. Wish we were together again, we could make some cash and get seat time together, and /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I could use all the implements he has which I don't have as of yet. BTW he has even used his snowblower in NC, they have had record snows there the past few years and most folks didn't even own a snow shovel.

It sounds like you going to have alot of fun. I've had alot of fun with my BX23 so far, had it for two weeks now. Previously, I was using a Craftsman rider tractor and a Home Depot garden utility cart for moving dirt. This method is only *slightly* more sophisticaed than a wheelbarrow and manual labor, but still, the BX is magnitudes faster than doing anything by hand or with the lawn tractor.
