Thats pretty slick Kyle. I got to say, now that you bought your first implement, You will start looking for your next one. With your carry all, get some lynch pins and a category 1 pin for the top. With the deck you want to put on it, It really would depend on what you plan to use it for. If it is more heavy duty used Than i would opt for the treated 2x8s. Plywood would really depend. I would recommend 3/4" thick so you still have the capacity that you will desire but it doesn't come cheap. To line up the holes when drilling, remove the carry all from the tractor and flip it up so the half facing the tractor when attached is flat on the ground. Then use "C" clamps and hold the lumber to the carry all so you can mark where the holes are to be drilled. When you get them drilled, use carriage bolts (flat heads) so you can slide things easily across the deck and tighten them down (using washers recommended).

Thanks!!! Already looking for more! (I think my parents are going to get a Trac Vac next year) Even though I will not carry very heavy loads on it (I think it is rated 500#), I'm leaning toward the 2x8's...Thanks for the mounting info!

Does anyone know of some good online retailers to get the lynch pins and the top link pin from?

Kyle,

I was all set to get a TSC Carryall for my BX24 but didn't because of two things. 1) the TSC store that just opened 35 minutes from me did not have one in stock and the inexperienced clerk said they had to be ordered online. I could go in on Tuesdays and talk to a "real farmer" they had on staff. That is the only day he works and he is the one that puts together the farm stuff that comes in on that day for them. A check of the website revealed that they are "in store only". (I don't know where the next nearest TSC is - just that it is an hour away) and 2) I read somewhere that the maximum lift height with the TSC carryall was only about 7 inches off the ground, given the location of the pins on the side of the carryall and the lift capability of the subcompact BX's.

By any chance do you know how high the carryall will lift on the BX25?

Thanks.

Chris

I was thinking of either doing that or using a piece of plywood. Would that work?

A piece of waterproof subflooring should work. It is expensive though and will eventually delaminate in the weather.

The 2x8 idea is worth consideration for long term durability.

Hey CTF

I too was very interested in the carryall from TSC. I went to the local store where they had one. We tried numberous CAT 1 toplink pins and could not get one to fit (the toplink pin hole was too small). I decided not to buy the unit as I was concerned it might be defective so I am curious to see if the one you purchased has the correctly sized toplink pin hole. I don't know the width of a toplink pin off hand (I am sure someone one this site does) but you may want to measure to see if one will fit (or try one from another implement).

I think you can buy online and choose a "ship to store" option at no additional charge.

The lift should be same as the lift travel of your lower arms as long as the top link is not too tight (short). No experience with it though. The top link bracket does seem to be quite high on the implement.

Yeah, my Mom was concerned that it would not match the tractor. I think I'll skip on the paint for now. Maybe when it gets all beat up in a couple of years...;)

Probably about the 7". I'll measure it tomorrow.
