Your L6060 should handle that finish mower just fine. I’ve got the same mower. My MX5200 doesn’t know its back there. Just slow down when turning on slopes. Mine will slide the back tires down a slope if I turn very fast. Loaded R4’s.

Sweet find! I check craigslist often for all sorts of things. I dont really need anything, until I find a great deal on something I suddenly require!

Thats the issue with CL finds. Sometimes it's complete junk and you dont know it until you get there. I found a flail mower on CL, a 6ft something-or-other. Dude wanted $500 for it and listed it as 'gently used.' I called him and we spoke, asked him questions like how old it was (he didnt really know as he bought it used, but it's in "great shape") and he is flexible on the price. He needed to sell it quickly because of a divorce.
I drove the two hours to his place, a type of property that looks more like a junk yard. Collections of old, dead, junk. Including 'gently used farm equipment.' He shows me this flail mower, it was a flail mower that looked like someone recently painted. I asked him why (again) he was selling it, he told me this time that he bought a new one and didn't have a need for this one anymore. No PTO shaft (even though he listed it with a photo of it there, but it was gone when I showed up), missing hammers, what appeared to be a broken bearing on the side (not photo'd in the listing), and covered in a thick layer of rust on the inside. Missing roller, though the brackets were there, and he tells me that he hasn't used it in a few years.

"gently used."

Needless to say, I passed. Drove the two hours home (with a trailer) disappointed. I could have bought it and fixed it up, would have had a decent flail for probably $600. Who knows what was going on the gear box too! The trouble and effort was not worth it, especially since I have a rotary at home.

That is the trouble with CL adds. You dont really know what your getting until you get there and see it. You cannot trust anyone. If someone says tells you over the phone that its in "great shape" and they "do all their own maintenance," take it with a grain of salt.

If you really believe that and live by it, we can't trust each other, including you. Seems like a pretty stupid statement in that light, doesn't it?

Yes and no. I don't trust you. I don't know you. You are text on a screen. I do not know your background, your knowledge, your agenda.

If you trust me, I'd call you a fool for the same reasons. You don't know me.

I do trust those who have earned my trust. I know more people than I trust. I do not trust perfect strangers I just met on Craigslist.

I will take a leap of faith and meet with someone, I will not be their friend, and the who deal is pure business. And more often than not, someone posting items on CL are simply offloading their crap and trying to make as much money off of me as they can. They don't trust me. They see me as a walking dollar sign. Their trust in me goes as far as my wallet.

And "trust but verify," how bout "never trust anyone trying to take your money?"

So, I will amend my statement: You cannot trust perfect strangers.

You said, "You cannot trust anyone." Now you're putting conditions on the definition. You further your simple opinion of folks when you then say, "And more often than not, someone posting items on CL are simply offloading their crap and trying to make as much money off of me as they can." Yet in previous post you say, "I check craigslist often for all sorts of things."

You must be a junk collector who does not trust anyone!
