My dealer told me a lie

don't be a total jerk about it, you maybe wrong. Its kinda hard to visibily tell when a factory fresh unit has the upgrades when you don't have the machines side by side. At this point it would have to be a very old inventory tractor to not have those changes.

is there a specific serial number series that should start with all the new problems resolved by the factory? i purchased my bx24 in nov 2006 i only have 2o hours on it and no problems as of yet the underside of fenders have no steel supports added just 3 tiny plastic ribs formed into the plastic.

I took delivery of a 24BX in 3rd wk of June '07. It was a lot queen having been transferred to my selling dealer from another dealer. It was serail number 55**, It had the new fender and reinforcements. It was delivered to original dealer back in 12/28/2006. The tach in the guage cluster wasn't working so dealer replaced that and the diff lock knob had been snatched so it was replaced.

With your serial number I think your fine. Some dealers are good some suck. I wouldn't buy from mine again. Some dealers are no better than bottom of barrel car dealers.

I emailed kubota corporate regarding verification on fender upgrades based on my serial number. They replied asking for my serial number and whether I took delivery. They didn't reply to my email once i said i took delivery. I resent it and still no reply. I don't think kubota should expect too much in the way of brand loyalty.

would it be correct to say that being i have the new style fender the seat and screen cover would be changed too?

Very doubtful you have the new seat. Those are only on the units that have shipped in the last month or so. Not sure about the screen, I really never saw the problem with the first one.

I think he's talking about the battery cover. Mine never fit properly from day one. The bottom anchors didn't hold and any amount of use would wriggle them free causing a big gap on both sides. My dealer replaced it, no problem.

This is a BX2350 and anyone with at least one good eye and half of a brain can go to the dealer and see the new fender with the ribs and floor support brackets and then go home and see there not on the tractor. I started to question the problem when I kept feeling the floor move when I stepped up on the tractor. And now that I think about it the dealer did know that this tractor didn't have the new fender. He didn't even want to see the tractor, He just ordered the parts..I know if I was a dealer and thought all my stock was up to date I would have wanted to see the tractor.
Maybe you would need to see them side by side....Not this kid...I was born at night but not last night !!
My only mistake was taking him at his word and not knowing what the up grade looked like before I bought it.
What realy makes me mad is Kubota should be making the dealers fix this before there sold. If someone buys a tractor and does not know about the up grade and the fender brakes guess what, They think they bought a piece of junk and this is how manufacturers get a bad name. I don't really blame the dealer. I know there just out to make a buck and get the sale out the door ASAP.

Kubota was short sighted in not doing a mandatory recall of all existing bx with weak decks and fenders, fixing them and moving on. Showed them to be not so great at protecting their brand equity.

Some will get broken like you say and not fixed and kubota gets labeled as making a poorer quality machine and not supporting in a forthright manner.

They reap what they sow.
