My dealers opinion...what\'s yours?

I'm kind of on the fence between the B7510 and B7610. My dealer has been telling me I won't see any noticeable difference in the power of the 2 for snowblowing and mowing and general yardwork. He has accually been pushing the B7510 (he has both). My question is have anyone out there had a working experience with both machines and if you have did you truly notice a difference with 2pto hp? He also told me he has sold (26) B7510 and (2) B7610 this year. Not that this means anything but makes me wonder if people that need more power than the B7510 just upgrade to the B7800.

Are you getting tractor with a FEL. If you are then the 7610 would be my choice. The added load capacity of the LA352 will come in handy.

Re: My dealers opinion...what\'s yours?

A $1000 over 20 years of ownership is only $50 a year... If you are strapped for the extra $1000, then go for the lesser cost machine. I have never heard anyone ever complain that their machine had too much power, but lots complain that they have too little power. It is always easier to throttle down the power, than to be at the top end and run out of power. My suggestion is to go with the larger HP machine. I also tend to do the opposite of what the seller is pushing, knowing that he is afraid of loosing the deal totally if the larger machine is out of financial range. Bigger is better... bigger is best.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Junkman...I never mentioned money as a deciding factor to the dealer but who knows what he's thinking. I understand that bigger hp is better but has anyone bought a b7510 and tried a b7610 and noticed a big difference..( a $1000 difference)

Sounds to me as if your dealer is just being honest with you, and I agree with him as long as you're only talking about the jobs mentioned. The trouble is that when you get a tractor you find all kinds of uses that you hadn't even thought of before you bought it. And one of those uses is where you'll find you want more power. Is the difference worth a thousand? I don't know.

Re: My dealers opinion...what\'s yours?

I considered long and hard the 7510 vs. 7610 and ended up with the 7610 with LA352 FEL and a Woods BH6500.

My dealer couldn't keep the 7610's in stock but had several 7510's.

Also I have heard of other dealers trying to put the LA302 FEL on 7610's when the tractor can take a larger capacity FEL (LA352). The LA302 will fit on either the 7510 or 7610 but the LA352 will only go on the 7610.

I don't know why a dealer wouldn't put the max capacity FEL on the tractor unless he had extra inventory?? And at MB it was $1,000 difference between the 7610 & 7510. You won't feel the difference in the monthly payments.

Re: My dealers opinion...what\'s yours?

Just a thought on fuel... I had a B7200 HST, 17 HP for 18 years. I recently purchased a B7510 HST, 21 HP. The extra use of fuel is very noticeable. Not sure about the B7610, 24PH, just might use a noticeable amount beyond the 7510.
