Not really .... galvanized pipe should never be used in plumbing used for diesel fuel storage:A quick look at the photo reminds me that I used 3/4" X Close nipples and one 3/4 X 1" nipple connected to the 3/4" union. Use as many 90 degree Street Elbows as possible to eliminate another nipple (Street Elbows have one end threaded). All materials I picked up at Lowe's or Home Depot. I like the looks of Galvanized better than black iron, but either will do.
1*The filler cap is vented on each drum. You can see one of them rite under the 2008 date in the photo.Hey i really like your set up so much i'm trying to make a similar one.
1*i would like to know if the cap needs to be vented or non-vented?
2*Do you use a grounding clip because of "static electricity?
3* would that be a necessary concern?
4*If i needed to use a cut of diesel fuel hose does it have to be of the anti-static type?
5*Did you use pipe dope instead of teflon tape?
