In my experience. As far as general backhoe use goes, you can't beat REACH. Especially, if you have to get off the hoe to move the machine. Although, more often then not, there ain't no place to go.

I put in a lot of road culverts. Variable reach on a hoe saves a tremendous amount of time.

Sure wish my Kubota B26 had a bit more reach. An extend-a-hoe would be great for that extra 2-3 feet.

Ya and the two backhoes with extra reach, are made in Canada.
