You may have a slip clutch built in to your pto. If so there maybe an adjustment. You never say who you bought this tractor from? If you just bought it did the seller not tell you that the pto is broke? Did you just buy it as is real cheap no questions ask or what? As I said before contact a Zetor, Branson, or Century dealer!! (all the same tractors) They maybe able to help you and may service your tractor.. Find any and all serial and model numbers. Your engine should have both. Your tractor should have numbers on it also.

Hmmm, mislabelled or mis represented product at an auction, what a shock! I looked on the web. There are 9 references total to a F455. Several are to this discussion board. One is to Hoye tractor's site that says look out, it appears to be a kukje. One is to an auction in Florida. Finally there is compact-tractor that had one listed and tractorco on the web site.

I guess someone (proabably in vietnam) got some and relabelled them. Where did they come up with the new model number? I'll bet one or two containers had them in and now there are a few around. The engine will be bullet proof. I wonder how Kukje is on support?

Good Luck!

I was reading that Kukje makes Branson and some Deere tractors. Maybe if you post on the branson board, someone will recognize your tractor.

Kukje is sold under the name of Kukje. They do make tractors for Branson, Century , & JD. The only thing Yanmar about it is the engine. Yanmar engines are used in a lot of different brands, but that doesn't give them the right to call the whole product a Yanmar. I can across a Korean tractor sakensite when I was researching this in the past . The tractors being sold as Yanmar 250, 350, & 455 are early 90s tractors. The prices weren't that great, Condition looked pretty poor. They listed the JD models under Kukje.

I was looking on the net--there are a few Kukje F455's out there (on korean web pages). They look to be identical to the few here in the US labelled as Yanmar F455's. If you can find a manual for a kukje you'd have a start (though it would probabaly be in korean. I use a parts manual that is in Japanese, but the numbers are good and a diagram is a diagram. Then you need a parts source. I imagine you might find a branson dealership to help.

Good Luck

Sounds similar to the 50 series early Bransons. It probably has a two-stage clutch that is out of adjustment or worn out. Adjust the clutch pedal so it has 3/4" free play, then try it again. The clutch pedal operates both the "travel" clutch and the "PTO" clutch, if in fact it is a two-stage clutch. If the clutch is bad, it isn't the end of the world. Split it and have it rebuilt and you might just be back in business. There is some precision involved in properly setting up a dual clutch, so make sure you involve someone familiar with the process.

Better yet, try to return the tractor and buy from a reputable source. I suspect that will be difficult to do though as you bought it at an auction. The auctioneer likely didn't mislabel the tractor or know that it was mislabeled.
