Not knowing what to say can be a bit awkward, however,
there is not much you need to say, Just being there, being a shoulder to lean on, being a sincerely loving but grief stricken brother/uncle is enough. Help out where you can.
This is a terrible tragedy.

We lost our 14 year old daughter 5 years ago with no cause of death found. It is very difficult, I know. There are many groups that deal with this loss and I encourage the family to get into one as soon as they are ready to start the healing process. This hurt will never heal fully, ours still has not, but the group we were in helped very much.
