Ya'll know what they look like so I won't bother posting pics. Anywho, man, what a cool toy, errmm, tool. With a 20 minute orientation the day before at the dealer and an hour spent reading the safety warnings, I mean Operators Manual, I was mowing and clearing brush immediately.

I'm taken with how simple and intuitive the controls are. The tractor seems to have plenty of power. With less than an hour on the clock, it's and mine, I'm certainly not pushing anything.

Due to another thread I was very conscience of the PTO. Would it make noise? At either low or high RPM's (from idle to within the 540 PTO range) hooked up to the Brush Hog, I advanced the throttle and retarded the throttle, clutch in, clutch out, engaged the PTO and disengaged the PTO, while mowing and while stationary - I tried it all. Perhaps time will tell, but the PTO simply started and stopped with no unusual mechanical noises, clatters, groans, or cuss words. Just as I had expected.

So, glad my toy, ummm , I mean tractor, is finally safe and sound in the barn and very glad that I chose the tractor that I chose.

Cedar trees, say your prayers...

Congratulations...they are a solid tractor.

As for the pto issue, until I have a failure, or hear of anyone with the new design have a failure, I am going to enjoy it and use it the same way I was before.

I do hope that kubota will address this with the guy's who have the earlier models though.

My tractor has the new improved PTO, and it sounds like yours have the new PTO too. I agree the tractor is easy to operate I have 90 hours on mine and I still enjoy it. (It's been almost a year since I got it). Have fun with it.

You're not from around these parts are ye?:D

To say that we TBN members like to look at tractor pictures is an understatement. In fact, I think most of us would agree that anyone posting about a new tractor should be required to post a picture of it. Yes, we've all seen pics of the 3400, but not your 3400! So get busy with that camera. (And expectations are high.....no cell phone pics!)

Yeah, and we especially like dirty tractor pictures.

You'll like the tractor I'm sure. Congrats. Mine is an earlier version with the clacking PTO but since I use it only for mowing and snow blowing it may be OK. I'm glad to hear they changed the PTO though. I like mine so much if the PTO quits I think I'd trade it on a new one. It's the perfect size for my use.

If those tread marks weren't so narrow, I would have thought you were doing donuts with your new L.
