Garage Reorganization Mostly Complete; Ventrac Construction.

The items on the floor of the center slot of the garage will end up on the newly-installed shelving, the Cabrio will re-occupy its rightful place, and our other 3-Series (a hardtop) will re-occupy its own rightful place (the slot currently occupied by the Cabrio).

I must say... the design and construction of the 4500Y are things of beauty. Real workmanship.

I have yet to use it this year. I put my rain outfit on and am ready. Run trans fan in reverse and get some heat too.

Hi, Murph.

Only a few inches of snow were forecast, so yesterday afternoon, I detached the snow blower and attached the rotary broom.

I came in a little while ago from clearing the driveway with the broom. It worked like a champ.

I also cleared my elderly neighbors' driveway. The lady of the house, about 85 years young, was out with a hand shovel. She was surprised and delighted to see me. I had not seen or spoken to her since the Blessed Event (i.e., the arrival of the 4500Y).

She marveled at the machine, and asked me when I had gotten it. She also said that her husband, also in his 80s, had just bought a new snowblower from Sears, but that he was not feeling well this morning. She offered to pay me.

I said a hot cup of tea or coffee would be sufficient, that I would come back later to collect on the debt and to visit her husband if he would feel up to that. And off I went to clear the other side of her driveway. She had a big smile on her face, and so did I.

Until you asked, Murph, I honestly did not know. I just went out to the garage and checked them with one of my dial gauges. The gauge tells me that they are set to 6 psi. According to the Owner's Manual, the factory specification is 8 to 16 psi. What value do you recommend?

By the way, I had absolutely no problems with traction on any of the slopes on the driveway, which vary from 7° to 14°, according to my digital carpenter's level.

I set mine to 16 cold. I thought you looked a tad low. When using your broom what is your weight transfer setting?
