HEY out there! While I became a member of TBN some months ago when I knew that I would be owning my first tractor soon, this is my very first post. I took delivery of my new rig over Labor Day weekend and have been having a BALL getting to know it and being productive with it. While I have very little to compare it to, I could not be happier with my purchase.
I have 200+ acres in southern Ohio (Pike County). I hired a friend to do some bush hogging and help with a couple of food plots early on and it became clear that I needed a tractor of my own, both for the practicality as well as for the therapeutic value. I hope to someday put a cabin in the property which is mostly hilly timber land with a couple of tillable fields and a bunch of squirrels and deer.
There is no better way to spend my spare time that being in the woods or in the seat of that big orange beast! The more that I use it, the more things that I realize need to be done. My next purchase will be a "Pats Easy Change" and then a log winch of some type. Any advice for this NEWBIE would be appreciated!
