It is leaking rather fast out of the bottom of the front axle housing, so I'm think the hose fittings have backed off up inside the axle housing. According to the manual, there's a T fitting for each function, steer left and steer right. The T fittings go up though a plate that is bolted to the bottom of the housing. We've removed the nuts on the two studs that attach the plate to the bottom, but the plate will not budge. I'm wondering if that plate is tapped those two studs thread through the plate and into welded on nuts up top.

Anybody familiar with that hose arrangement?

TIA

Tom

Ok I fixed that. I didn't know ALL my tractors needed to be in my Profile. Besides the 445A that is leaking, I also have a 260 and a 4000SU.

NONE of your tractors NEED to be in your profile.
It does give a more complete picture of your situation though.
See....now we know that you are a Ford guy, and being a Ford guy is a very good thing.

I assume you solved this issue? I have the same problem with my ‘83 445A. Dripping from area where the pressure lines go through the large rubber grommet.
