It's really cold here in Indiana. I scraped snow off the driveway yesterday. Everything was fine.
Then some one was stuck last night on the hill. So I brought a load of gravel there. I turned it off.
When I restarted it the fuel was on really high, past 540.
When I turned the fuel throttle down nothing happens. I can go up and down nothing happens. It remains really high rpm.
How do I fix that?

Okay, thanks. I'll go look at it in a little bit.

Did you shut it down at high RPM?

Id assume not... Which would sort of rule out the "stuck" part. It would only be stuck at its last setting

So, did you shut it down at PTO RPM?

Can you get the unit to above freezing temps to rule out a frozen cable?

If his 1739E is anything like my 1736 it has a throttle sensor to control the fuel rate and I don't think there are any mechanical linkages. The sensor is located under the dash and I'm assuming its provides an electrical signal to the pump?
