Thank's guys i looked at harbor freight and i can't belive i missed that my cousin in northern va says that he can get them for around $100 thats the ticket no rebuild this one it never ran like it suppose to after it had ethanol gas in it right now we can buy gas without it but who knows how long that last

That diesel looks good, but made in China, just pointing out.
The Briggs Intek is a good engine, they start very well, but the tapered shaft makes it hard to mount a pulley and keep it in place and parallel to the genset pulley.

The other Intek looks real good, and since they're shipping from TN, shouldn't take long to get it in VA.

Most of the Inteks are made in the good old USA, Missouri, I believe and since they have OHV and a better carb setup than the older Briggs like you had on your generator, you'd have to like it.

Sounds like you've settled on the HF clone but if you are still looking, give a look at the Subaru Robins, their EX series. More spendy than most but a very good engine. OHC, crank is supported by ball bearing on BOTH ends. No int plastic parts like some of the small engines. The one I have has very little mechanical noise. Always starts on 1-2 pulls even after sitting all winter.
