Timm250 you need to get a little meaner in your dealings with Skidsteer Express. I'd first call them and be very clear that you are completely dissatisfied with the service you are getting. Then, call the BBB in their area and file a complaint. Start another thread on TBN with Skidsteer Express and your dissatisfaction in the TITLE, so people see it and find it when they search on grapples or other implements. Keep the thread updated.

Given the cost of shipping a grapple, the only reasonable thing a responsible company would do is to give instructions to a local welder and have them come out to your place to put in some stops to prevent the upper arms from opening too wide and also fix those bent covers. It is frankly silly that whoever made the grapple did not work out the geometry more carefully but if you bought the grapple from Skidsteer Express then they should handle the warranty work.

I have called several times & all you get is an answering machine. You can't talk to a real person. I have left my name & # and they will not return my calls. They will send the standard do you have access to a welder reply to an email & that is all if the contact that you can have with them. I think I will start the new thread with their name in the title as you suggested.

Also leave a message for them saying that you will file a BBB report in 48 hours if you do not get a return call to discuss the problem.

It's done the new title is Skidsteer Express won't stand behind their grapple.

Good start. Keep us posted there with whatever has already happened and with updates. I think you will find people will give you ideas on how to get SE to stand by their warranty and what other steps you can take.

Try calling fom a phone # they don't know. Tell them that you are interested in buying 2 grapples and wanted to know if you could get a better price buying 2. I bet someone returns your call.

Totally agree the manufacturer should provide and pay for a solution. Yours can not be the only one with this problem unless they made a mistake in assemblely (welded a bracket in the wrong spot or backwards allowing the over travel), or changed cylinder suppliers or installed the wrong cylinders.

Stroke limiters that clamp on the cylinder rods might be a solution.

Manufacturer should be happy to fix your grapple. Then make sure no more leave the factory with the same problem. I would think you did them a favor saving a massive recall.

I was just about to order pallet forks from them. Guess I'll look around a bit more...
