Timm250 you need to get a little meaner in your dealings with Skidsteer Express. I'd first call them and be very clear that you are completely dissatisfied with the service you are getting. Then, call the BBB in their area and file a complaint. Start another thread on TBN with Skidsteer Express and your dissatisfaction in the TITLE, so people see it and find it when they search on grapples or other implements. Keep the thread updated.
Given the cost of shipping a grapple, the only reasonable thing a responsible company would do is to give instructions to a local welder and have them come out to your place to put in some stops to prevent the upper arms from opening too wide and also fix those bent covers. It is frankly silly that whoever made the grapple did not work out the geometry more carefully but if you bought the grapple from Skidsteer Express then they should handle the warranty work.
