Most of my research and testing came last year, but due to financial issues and the economy I decided to hold off. Well after our riding mower broke down a few weeks ago I felt it was time to start looking again. Last year I was looking at the BX2350 and the small B series. So I picked up there, except with the BX2360 instead of the BX2350. I tried to getting a feeling for the two on the forum, but it seemed to be split pretty evenly. I was slightly leaning toward the B series thinking I could use it for other things on the farm besides mowing, but wasn稚 sure.
I go to the local dealer last Friday to test drive both. The sales guy was supposed to get the bottom line deal on both (BX2360 & B2620) before I got there. (He already gave me a pretty good price over the phone for the 2620). Well the bottom line price on the 2620 turned out to be $400 higher than the price he gave over the phone. He said the reason is that the R4 tires I wanted cost that much more. (I won稚 go there!) Anyway he says that he has a demo BX2660 (5hrs on it) he could make me a deal on. I go to look it over while he gets the price. The owner took it home once to mow their lawn and then they had used it a few times to mow a little bit of grass at the dealership. It was a little dusty, but looked fine. The price turned out to be $9950 with the 60èŠ*mm, $50 to swap out the turfs for R4s, and they gave me everything for the 50hr service for $75. I thought the price seemed pretty good from the other prices I had gotten on the BX2360. I called the boss to see if she could come take it for a spin after work (she does a lot of the mowing while I知 at work). She gets there, drives it around and seems to like it. (She loves the smell of diesel!)
So for a little over $10K I知 getting a BX2660 now. They also threw in a couple of hats (pink for the boss), Kubota tag, mouse pad, pens, and keys chains. I was also able to take advantage of the 48 month no interest deal. I知 pretty happy with the deal and it痴 supposed to be delivered this week.
