Yep, the leaves are still winning here at my place.

I had a neighbor when I lived in the city that would rake up the leaves in his back yard and then throw them over the fence into my yard. He said that they were from my trees and they belonged to me. I didn't care, because I have the attitude that the leaves in the back yard don't count. Eventually they would blow back into his yard or someone else's. One day the town came by with the big truck that sucked them up, and he had them suck up all the leaves that had been accumulating along the fence. I had a clean back yard and never did a lick of work for it. Given enough time, all leaves will disappear... Dusty

I think you got the upper edge on leaf collection.

Not sure however about the custom ROPS. Do you have holes drilled in it too? :D

you must be a short guy or something. That's the shortest rops I ever saw!
Well I have to agree with this observation!:D

Speaking of leaves, I have Norway maples. 80% of the leaves are still on the trees. I generally finish up right after Thanksgiving, unless too much snow comes too early!

Mike,
Funny thing about that ROPS  . When I bought the tractor it was much higher and it seems everytime I wash the tractor the ROPS shrinks  I have not drilled any holes in it because it would void the warranty :D

kb, this brings up a question. I've been looking for a good collector myself, but my 60" deck is LH discharge. I talked to trac-vac, DR and cyclone rake. They all say that their systems only work on RH discharge. Looking at your pics though, it seems that LH would work. Any thoughts?

Mine is an older Trac-vac but it is made for either a left or right discharge mower. You have to turn the plate on the vac where the hose is attached to the left and move the bracket the holds the hose to the left side. Perhaps the new Trac-vacs don't allow this to be done. I would call them again and mention what I said, maybe you didn't talk to a knowledgable person.

Bob,
Everyone likes my hubcaps. Those hubcaps are probably 25 years old and this is the fourth tractor they are on (3 Cub Cadets & 1 Kubota). They are originally Cub Cadet caps. If you go to some dealer that has been around for a long time you just may be able to find a set. I should have bought 100 sets when I got mine, but who would have known. I was offered as much as $100 for the set, but I said NO DEAL I think when I bought these they were $19.95 for the set. Cub Cadet also came out with a set that had the IH logo on them. Ebay is also a good place to try and locate them. Finding a set with no rust is the tricky part.

I have a Cyclone Rake and I believe that you could easily reverse the engine setup and use their generic deck cover to handle a LH discharge.
