I think you have a point HB. Not having a Kioti myself, I really can't comment -- but it would seem that the more people who bug the dealers, the more the dealers will be bugging Kioti Corp.

From what I've read here, it's NOT an isolated incident. It really does need action to be taken from Kioti.

With response to Bob and John, it seems that most loaders don't put the hoses on the inside and that most loaders don't have this problem. I really wish there was a loader which had the hoses internal but no cracking... Would make for a really nice setup!

This is an educated guess but if the cross tube penetrated thru the loader arms and was welded inside and out it would be much stronger. This was the way my old Kubota loader was and there was hardly any flex to it at all. The cross tube on my KL120 loader is only welded to the inside of the loader arm which is not as strong, as it is only pulling and pushing on the one side of the tube. This in my opinion allows this flex to take place. Having said that the hoses being run inside the loader arm does not allow the tube to be able to past thru the loader arm. I hope Kioti comes up with a viable solution as the only idea I've come up with so far is to drill a 2 to 2 1/2" hole completely thru the loader arms just in front of the existing crosstube and weld it to the inside and outside of each arm. I don't really want to do this as I will loose valuable space between the existing tube and the bucket/grapple. That's my two cents for now.

As I stated earlier, mine is not cracked yet. But, I'll be watching it closely.

Kioti should redesign this loader in the same manner as some of the best regarded, tried and true, loaders on the market. The square corners cause all the stress to concentrate in them; that big of a hole really compromises its strength, and it's clear the metal isn't strong enough - just bad mechanical design 101. In the mean time, it sure looks like it's become a widespread design problem. Perhaps it's time for a recall.

A separate, very light metal shield cover over external hoses, screwed down to a REAL cross beam would easily solve the hose protection problem without compromising the cross beam. Some designer thought he/she was being clever with the hidden hoses. All they did was weaken the design.
